1. Definitions

• "Platform" refers to Angling Ireland, accessible at www.anglingireland.ie
• "We", "Us", "Our" refers to Patrick Ryan Digital Design
• "User", "You" refers to anyone who accesses or uses the Platform
• "Club" refers to an angling club, syndicate, fishery, guide, or charter created and managed on the Platform
• "Club Admin" refers to the owner or administrator of a club
• "Member" refers to a user who has joined a club

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Platform, you confirm that:

• You are at least 16 years of age
• You have read, understood, and agree to these Terms
• You agree to our Privacy Policy
• You will provide accurate and complete information

3. Account Registration

3.1 User Accounts

• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• You may not share your account with others

3.2 Club Membership

• Users may only be a member of one club at a time
• Club membership is subject to approval by club administrators
• You may leave a club at any time through your account settings

3.3 Junior Accounts

• Users under 16 cannot create their own accounts
• Junior members can only be added by club admins when a parent/guardian is an active club member
• Junior accounts must be linked to a parent/guardian's account
• Parents/guardians are responsible for their child's use of the Platform

4. Club Administration

4.1 Creating a Club

• Any registered user may create one club
• The creator becomes the Club Owner with full administrative rights
• Club Owners may appoint additional administrators

4.2 Club Admin Responsibilities

Club Administrators are responsible for:

• Managing membership requests and member conduct
• Ensuring club content complies with these Terms
• Maintaining accurate club information

5. Acceptable Use

5.1 You Agree NOT To:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Upload illegal, offensive, defamatory, or harmful content
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform
• Use automated systems to scrape or collect data
• Upload viruses, malware, or malicious code
• Interfere with the Platform's operation

5.2 Content Standards

All content you upload must:

• Be accurate and not misleading
• Be your own or you have permission to use it
• Not infringe any copyright, trademark, or other rights
• Be appropriate for all ages
• Comply with all applicable laws

6. Content Ownership & License

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload (photos, catch logs, messages, etc.). By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to:

• Display your content on the Platform as intended
• Store and backup your content
• Share your content with other club members as per your settings

This license ends when you delete your content or account (subject to our data retention policy).

6.2 Our Content

All Platform content (design, code, branding, text) is owned by Patrick Ryan Digital Design and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

7. Platform Usage

Angling Ireland is provided as a free-forever service to the Irish angling community. There are no subscription fees for clubs, fisheries, syndicates, guides, charter boats, or individual users.

8. Account Termination

8.1 By You

You may close your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Upon closure:

• Your personal data will be anonymized
• Catch logs and club contributions may be retained in anonymized form

8.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms & Conditions
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• Abuse or harass other users

We will provide notice where possible, except in cases of serious violations.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Merchantability
• Non-infringement
• Uninterrupted or error-free service

We do not guarantee that the Platform will always be available or free from bugs or viruses.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• We are not responsible for user-generated content or actions of other users
• We are not liable for any loss of data, profits, or business opportunities

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Patrick Ryan Digital Design from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Platform
• Your violation of these Terms
• Content you upload or share
• Your violation of any third-party rights

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by:

• Posting a notice on the Platform
• Sending an email to registered users
• Updating the "Last Updated" date

Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ireland.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
